The eccentric heir of real estate, Robert Durst was charged guilty of murdering Susan Berman a long-time friend of Durst. This verdict is among the most cases of high profile that came into the limelight because of the popularity of real crime documentaries.
Durst who is of 78 years has faced a life sentence without parole and has also been the suspect in not less than two other cases of murder in the past 4 decades.
Prosecutors are of the view that Durst killed Berman in order to hide Dursts’ involvement in the disappearance of Dursts’ wife Kathleen in the year 1982. In another case, he was accused of murdering Morris Black, a friend of his, so that he could conceal his identity as a female botanist who is mute and lives in Galveston, Texas.
Durst comes back to public consciousness with the documentary of 2015 “The Jinx”.In the finale of the series during a break, he admitted the murders while he spoke to himself.
