Natalie Coughlin
At the University of California, Natalie Coughlin became the first woman to complete the 100-meter backstroke in less than one minute. During the 2008 Summer Olympics, she also became the first American woman to win six medals in a single Olympiad and the first woman to win gold in the 100-meter backstroke in two consecutive Olympics.
