Few of the things great athletes did or did wrong are always remembered and talked about.

Anita Alvarez: 2022
Anita Alvarez, who had been to the Olympics twice, was swimming in the solo free final at the World Aquatics Championships on June 22, 2022, when she suddenly passed out at the bottom of the pool.
The head coach of Team USA, Andrea Fuentes, acted quickly and jumped into the water. Fuentes, a Spanish athlete who had won Olympic and world medals for her country, ran up to Alvarez, gave her a back hug, and then kicked them off the bottom of the pool and toward the surface.
Concern and admiration were shown for the coach’s quick thinking after the scary situation and amazing rescue. In a statement on the team’s Facebook page, Fuentes thanked Alvarez and said that he is much better and that his vital signs, oxygen levels, and blood sugar levels are all normal.
Zinedine Zidane: 2006
Before the 2006 World Cup, Zinedine Zidane was thought to be one of the best and nicest soccer players of all time. He had a great career at home and around the world. He played for Cannes, Bordeaux, Juventus, Real Madrid, and the French national team.
Marco Materazzi said something bad about Zidane in the 110th minute of the 2006 World Cup final in Germany. The Materazzi insulted Zidane’s sister and, most likely, his mother with words that were not clear. Materazzi was hit in the chest with a headbutt, and the Italian fell to the ground clutching his chest as “Zizou” went crazy.
Because of this, Zidane was sent off, and France ended up losing the game.
Zidane did a lot of great things in his career, both for himself and for his teams, but the headbutt will always be the thing that people remember about him.
Ron Artest: 2004
Ron Artest has played for the Bulls, the Pacers, the Kings, the Rockets, and the Lakers, but his most famous game was when he was with the Pacers.
On November 19, 2004, the Pacers were going to the Palace of Auburn Hills to play the Pistons. In the fourth quarter, Artest’s hard foul on Ben Wallace made a lot of people mad.
Then, as Artest walked up to the scorer’s table, a fan threw a Diet Coke cup at him. Artest ran away in a rage because he thought the fan had thrown the cup. He then hit another fan in the face. Due to the chaos, the last few seconds of the game were not played, and the Pacers were given a 97-82 win.
Michael Vick: 2007
When Michael Vick played for the Atlanta Falcons, a lot of football fans thought he was a great player.
In 2007, though, a search showed that Vick had been making dogs fight each other. Also, he had either hung or drowned at least six dogs, killing them all.
1994
Simpson’s ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman are said to have been killed in 1994. Even though he was expected to be sued, Simpson’s lawyer, Johnnie Cochran, was able to persuade the judge that it wasn’t O.J. Even though there was a lot of proof against him, his lawyer and client were able to keep him from being charged.
There are a lot of people who think Simpson killed the man and are angry that he wasn’t charged.
