This Is Us Season Finale: Top 5 TV Shows You Need to Watch Next

“This Is Us” took the idea of a “final season” to heart, which made the end of the show seem less important after all that had happened in the episodes leading up to it. Even so, the show stayed true to its main ideas and formula by playing with time and showing the “circle of life,” which made it more interesting. There are so many things to watch right now, from this season finale to the long-awaited sequel Top Gun: Maverick.

The death of Rebecca in the penultimate episode (played by Mandy Moore, who should have won an Emmy but only got nominated this year) was a big emotional moment, but there was still the matter of burying her and figuring out what would happen to her children.

The This Is Us finale, which was written by the show’s creator Dan Fogelman, let Milo Ventimiglia’s character, Jack, sum up the whole show in one sentence. He told his teenage sons that life is about “collecting these little moments,” which are the kinds of things we sometimes miss at the time.

That conversation showed how the show fits together and how Scrooge can live in the past, present, and future (after his ghost-given epiphany). And the deeper truth of it was shown by one of those quiet Saturdays that Rebecca said she didn’t want to forget, a day that rang through the lives of her immediate family and the next generation.

There are no perfect games in the end of a series. During its tear-jerking run, “This Is Us” came pretty close to saying everything about what the show was about.

The Top 5 Recommended Series, except That’s Us

Breaking Bad

There may never have been a drama on TV with a more tightly written script. Breaking Bad made sure that every scene in every episode was important and led to something over the course of its five seasons. The show was about Walter White, a chemistry teacher who has cancer and works with a former student to make and sell meth.

White becoming power-hungry and being pushed to do bad things was one of the most interesting character arcs I’ve ever seen. If you haven’t seen Breaking Bad yet, don’t wait any longer.

Chernobyl

A five-part HBO miniseries from 2019 called Chernobyl told the story of the 1986 nuclear accident and the painful clean-up that followed. Due to how serious the subject matter is, this is not a show you can watch in one sitting like This is Us.

Chernobyl is an interesting mystery about a nightmare, but its real strength lies in how it showed the danger and pain of radiation. It was both sad and a way to honour the people who died in the accident. Fans and critics both liked the series.

Arcane

It’s amazing that Arcane was able to take over the world in 2021. The animated show, which was based on the video game League of Legends, got a lot of praise and was watched by a lot of people on Netflix. Well, the style of animation was different, so it stood out.

Then, Hailee Steinfeld and Ella Purnell, who won an Annie Award, were on the show, which also had great voice acting.

The Business

People often say that The Office is the best comedy show ever. That makes sense, since the show had Steve Carell, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, Rainn Wilson, and one of the funniest supporting casts ever seen on TV.

After Carell left, the show was bound to have trouble, but it ended on a high note with a great finale and a good final season.

The Batman animated show

People think that Kevin Conroy is the best Batman, not Christian Bale or Michael Keaton, because he played Batman in the best animated superhero show of all time. Some people think that Mark Hamill’s amazing Joker is the best of all time, even better than Heath Ledger, Jack Nicholson, and Joaquin Phoenix.
